Event Overview

CrossRoads Crop Conference is a premier agricultural event held annually in western Canada, serving as a pivotal intersection for producers and industry experts alike.

We’ve had the privilege of being a part of the CrossRoads Crop Conference since its inception three years ago, working closely with Alberta Canola Commission, Alberta Grains Commission, and Alberta Pulse Growers Commission to bring this event to life.

Kiwi Productions provided stress-free event planning and audiovisual services to ensure every session, panel, and interaction was executed flawlessly. We’re proud to be a part of an event that cultivates innovation and fosters growth in the agriculture industry.

The 2024 event was held at the Westin Calgary Airport conference centre

    Event planning & management:

    Audio visual production services

    LED Stage Backdrop: We used our 2.5mm Absen LED Video Wall as the backdrop for the main stage which was used for multiple purposes throughout the conference, including sponsor highlights during sponsored session, playing key sponsor commercials and custom background for each session topic. 

    Projection Screens and Projectors: Four 19ft wide x 16ft tall front projection screens with drape kits were installed to cover the front and sides of the room to ensure accessible viewing for all attendees. The screens were projected on with four Epson16,000 lumen laser projectors.

    Presidential Podium with Client Logo: using our flexi glass presidential podium with the clients logo, framed the stage with clean look. 

    LED Up-Lights – Front Room: 16 units of LED bar multi-colour up-lights were strategically placed alongside the black velour drapes to add dynamic lighting effects and set the mood, complementing the conferences brand. 

    LED Moving Lighting Rig: Multiple LED moving lights were rigged for the opening night reception and the beer reception for ambiance. 

    Leko Lights: Leko stage wash and spotlights were positioned to ensure optimal illumination of the stage, highlighting presenters and enhancing on-screen images.

    Superior Sound Distribution:

    Audio – JBL Speakers: we used our JBL sound systems on stands which provided crystal-clear sound distribution throughout the room, ensuring every attendee experienced high-quality audio. 

    State-of-the-Art Technology & Expertise:

    Audio and Video Control: Our expert audio visual technicians used state-of-the-art audio console, video switcher, and lighting console to ensure flawless execution of the event. This technology enabled seamless transitions and precise control over the event’s audio-visual elements.

    Truss and Cable Management:

    Clean and Professional Setup: Truss was used to build the archway for the LED wall which framed the stage as well, making the stage a focal point as well. Multiple Truss was also used to build towers for the projectors. 

    As always, all of our cable runs were neatly taped down for safety and clean polished look. 

    Backdrop and Lighting:

    Backdrop Drapes: We installed 120ft wide x 30ft long grey drapes as a backdrop for the screen, creating a sleek and neutral background.

    LED Up-Lights: 21 units of LED Par multi-colour up-lights were strategically placed to add dynamic lighting effects and set the mood, complementing the event’s theme.

    LED Moving Lighting Rig: A large LED moving lighting rig was deployed to distribute lighting evenly across the main hall, adding ambiance and vibrancy to the space.

    Leko Lights: Leko stage wash and spotlights were positioned to ensure optimal illumination of the stage, highlighting presenters and enhancing on-screen images.

    State-of-the-Art Technology & Expertise:

    Audio and Video Control: Our expert audio visual technicians used state-of-the-art audio console, video switcher, and lighting console to ensure flawless execution of the event. This technology enabled seamless transitions and precise control over the event’s audio-visual elements.

    Truss and Cable Management:

    Clean and Professional Setup: We rigged 120ft of truss with flown cable runs for a clean and undisrupted look, maintaining a polished and professional event space.
